Middle and High School Students Please Respond Here

Posted: December 29, 2009 in Uncategorized

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog. I’m interested in figuring out what’s working or not working in Baltimore County and Baltimore City Schools, and I figure the best way to get an honest answer is to ask the students what’s going on. Rather than creating a long survey to fill out, I’m just going to ask an open-ended question, allowing students to say as little or as much as they want.

When responding to this blog, keep the following questions in mind (and feel free to respond to whichever you choose, or anything else that I haven’t addressed):

Overall, are you satisfied with your educational experience? Do you feel that you are receiving a quality education?

What are some positive or negative aspects of your schooling? What recommendations do you have to improve the quality of your school?

Are there any specific reasons you keep going to school everyday? Do you feel confident that you will graduate?
Do you think education is important? Do you think your school cares about you as an individual and your educational success? Why or why not?

Please feel free to share anything that you think would be important for others to know.

I am a 28-year-old instructor/grad student who is attempting to figure out ways to better educate Baltimore’s students, and I really believe that the students have the best input, so I am very appreciative for your time and responses.

In your response, please state what grade your are in and whether you attend Baltimore County or City Schools.
